The DJI Mic Mini is an ultracompact wireless microphone system designed for content creators who want to capture clear, reliable audio for vlogs, livestreams, or social media videos. With wide device compatibility, it connects seamlessly to DSLR/mirrorless cameras or iOS/Android smartphones via both wired and wireless options. The system features a miniature clip-on omnidirectional mic/transmitter that provides exceptional audio quality at a range of up to 1312 feet. The receiver is versatile, easily mounted on your camera or plugged directly into your smartphone or laptop using USB-C or Lightning ports, with an additional mobile adapter available separately.

Wired and Wireless Connectivity

Like the DJI Mic 2, the Mic Mini supports both 2.4 GHz digital wireless and Bluetooth connectivity. Bluetooth allows you to pair the transmitters with your DJI Mimo app on iOS or Android, or directly with your Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4, or Osmo Action 5 Pro camera. You can adjust settings such as noise cancellation and audio limiting via the app. The receiver has both 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. The included 3.5mm TRS Camera Audio cable connects to your camera and synchronizes the receiver’s power with your camera. When connected to your smartphone via USB-C, both devices can charge simultaneously, and you can review your clips with external playback.

Wireless Drone Recording

The Mic Mini also offers wireless recording with DJI drones using the DJI Fly app. Simply connect the Mic Mini to your smartphone’s Bluetooth, open the DJI Fly app, and start recording. The app automatically reduces propeller noise and syncs the audio with your video footage.

Wearable and Portable Microphones

The transmitter is ultra-light at just 0.4 oz, easily clipping to your clothing for a wireless experience without bulky wires. It can also be worn using a magnetic attachment or lanyard with optional accessories. The built-in omnidirectional microphone captures clear, consistent audio even in less-than-ideal placements, ensuring your subject's voice is heard clearly. A furry windscreen is included to minimize wind noise while maintaining sound quality.

The transmitter features simple controls to toggle between two levels of noise cancellation. The basic setting is ideal for quiet indoor environments, reducing unwanted noise while preserving vocals, while the stronger setting cuts through noisy surroundings for clearer speech. Automatic audio limiting helps prevent clipping, ensuring a clean, reliable sound without the need for manual adjustments. Additionally, the receiver unit includes a five-level gain dial for quick adjustments and safety track recording, which records a secondary 6 dB lower track in case of potential interference, ensuring usable audio in fluctuating environments.

Extended Battery Life

Both the transmitter and receiver feature built-in rechargeable batteries with impressive run times of 11.5 and 10.5 hours, respectively. With the included charging dock, just five minutes of charging provides an extra hour of use. The DJI Mimo app allows you to toggle an auto power-off feature that shuts down both devices after 15 minutes of inactivity, conserving battery life for longer sessions.
