Log inThis Haida M10-II Drop-In Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized. The M10-II version comes with an upgraded aluminum frame that is made specifically to fit between a separately available Haida M10-II Filter Holder and an adapter ring. The improved aluminum alloy frame enables the filter to be closer to the filter holder resulting in better protection. Constructed from optical glass, this circular polarizer filter provides clarity, color fidelity, and independent rotation in order to adjust the intensity of its effect.
Polarized Light
A polarizing filter arranges, and filters, directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. The result is a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces. This circular filter clears up haze in distant landscapes and increases tonal saturation. Additionally, it allows strongest effect when used at a 90° angle from the sun. It is ideal for use with digital cameras and autofocus lenses where a linear polarizer will often disrupt auto exposure and focus features.
Anti-Reflection Coatings
To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes 10 layers of anti-reflection coatings, which also offer greater protection to the filter. The Nano coating provides an additional layer that results in an improved beading effect when the surface comes in contact with water or oil, allowing for more efficient cleaning.
