he GC-282AL Geared Multi-Function Arm from Leofoto is a gear-driven extension arm that adds lateral extension of 16 to 25" to virtually any tripod leg set. It attaches to the top of a tripod leg set with a 3/8"-16 threaded tip and allows the head to then be attached to the end of the arm. The end of the arm has a reversible 1/4"-20 to 3/8"-16 threaded mounting stud and features an anti-twist flange plate to keep the head from rotating out of position. This aluminum column has a gear-driven extension drive with a twist-lock joint to hold the extended arm in place. The drive knob features a folding crank, and each full rotation delivers 14mm of movement, making precision adjustments possible.

The GC-282AL has a large rubber grip that twists to unlock tilt and panning motion, which can tilt up to 180° and rotate a full 360°, for both still and video applications.
