The SmallRig 4772 HawkLock Quick Release Half Cage for Sony FX3 / FX30 is designed for filmmakers and content creators who need a lightweight and versatile camera rig without the bulk of a full cage.

The cage features SmallRig's HawkLock quick-release ecosystem, providing convenient compatibility with HawkLock accessories. Its integrated Arca-Swiss quick-release base allows the camera cage to be quickly mounted onto compatible DJI gimbals and Arca-Swiss tripod systems. Supported DJI stabilizers include the DJI RS 2, RSC 2, RS 3, RS 3 Pro, RS 4, RS 4 Pro and RS 5.

The removable NATO top rail adds flexibility when mounting accessories. When the rail is removed, the cage can accommodate the original Sony XLR top handle, making it suitable for professional audio and video configurations.

Multiple mounting options are built into the cage, including 1/4"-20 threaded holes, ARRI 3/8"-16 locating holes, cold shoe mounts, NATO rail and QD socket. These allow users to attach handles, microphones, LED lights, monitors, straps and other camera accessories.

The camera is secured to the cage using a 1/4"-20 screw, while the half-cage construction provides protection around the camera without unnecessarily covering the camera body. The cage is made from aluminum alloy, stainless steel and silicone and weighs approximately 102 g, making it suitable for lightweight handheld, tripod and gimbal setups
